Current Interest

The following table diagrams the current interest in MDDL domain expansion. Each row indicates an MDDL asset class (or group of classes) of which there is registered member interest. Each major column identifies one of the basic four applications of MDDL within a market data system. For each class, a relative priority is identified based on member interest. As well, a grading of the completion level of each domain is provided based on collection and organization of the terms, definitions, and relationships as well as acceptance of the MDDL specification for that class. A legend is provided below.

The priorities are grouped into four categories - the top four (in cyan), the second four (in light blue), the rest (in blue), and those that are effectively complete (in violet).

To interpret this graphic, concentrate on the priority column (P) and those cells that are lighter blue. Then, look at the associated C (collected), O (organized), and A (accepted) cells. Combinations that are lighter blue with more red indicate where we most need member support to obtain terms, definitions, and relationships to complete the priority objectives. In other words, more combinations of light blue with red indicate where member priorities are in conflict with available information. This is further clarified in the more linear MDDL Development Schedule.
